Homestead Exemption Reminder
Happy New Year! If January 1, 2008 is the first new year you have celebrated in your home, let this be a helpful reminder to file your homestead exemption. It is important that you apply for this exemption because it grants you a discount on your property taxes. After you apply for it, the benefit lasts for as long as you live in your home. Most county deadlines are either March 1st of April 1st, check your county website or tax assessors office for more details.
